I’m pretty new to this game, and, well, what hero should I pick? They all look really cool!
The time is now upon you to make one of the biggest decisions of your young life. Choosing a hero is no child’s game. While there are many ways to study each and every hero to determine their weak points and strengths (including how cool they look), it is of utmost importance you play a hero that you like – not a hero someone tells you to like.
At this point in your life, you might be a fanboy. And assuming you follow typical fanboy protocol, you will adore one pro-player far more than is considered socially acceptable. Your dogged obsession will no doubt influence who and how you play. And for all its blind worth, it’s a start. At least you’re trying more than one hero. But if you still suck super hard, really evaluate your relationship with that hero. Is there truly a connection? Does playing the hero come naturally to you? If you answered ‘no’ to either question, you, my fanboy, need to break out of the box you’ve put yourself in. In case you hadn't noticed when looking at your reflection, you aren’t that pro-player, and, SPOILER ALERT, you will never be that pro-player. You have your own play style, and I guarantee it is not the same as the man you dream of every night.
Be your own gamer, brah.
So me and my buddy want to lane together. What’s the best lane combo in Heroes?
Young grasshopper, you must let go of this idea of ‘best.’
There is no ‘best,’ only ‘better.’ Are there ‘best’ lane combos? No. There are ‘better’ lane combos - combos that outlast their time through fond memories. But even these fade with the patches of time.
Remember to be ever flexible, for it is remaining static on a field of battle that elicits inevitable defeat.
