My latest project launched last night! Joce vs The World is a stream/podcast hybrid, where I choose a PvP game (anything where you are playing against real people) and invite a guest who is knowledgeable about the game to give some tips and tricks to a new player (me). We stream 2-3 matches, and then do a podcast roundup of what we learned.
I came up with the idea when a number of my gamer friends were discussing PvP, saying that they were intimidated, didn't know where to start, or didn't want to deal with the traditionally toxic environment that many PvP games are known for. So I started Joce vs The World to show people that if I can do it, so can you!
Last night was the inaugural episode, recorded live on twitch.tv/JocePlays with special guest Kyle Fergusson from Into the Nexus. We went into Heroes of the Storm and played Quick Match using two different hero roles, damage dealing and support. We also discussed what to focus on when heading into a match, what to do when trying a new hero, and how to deal with angry players (including yourself). I hope you like it!
The show has been submitted to iTunes, and video versions will be up on YouTube shortly. Until then, you can check out the VODs on Twitch, and here is the audio version of the podcast.
